| After visiting Clarksburg, we crossed the mountains on old Route 50 east, picked up the Skyline Drive through Shenandoah National Park, followed it to Charlottesville, visited Monticello, then followed the Blue Ridge Parkway on to Asheville before making our way home. | The first day was overcast, rather limiting our view. |
