Snowlight graces the night.
Reflections, mellowed by the faintest
of clouds,
White, dimmed but not ghostly:
Shadows faint or lacking:
Diffuse light illuminates all with
gray.
Lighter than a night of stars,
Soft scenery at the roadside, alive,
Warm with light in the frost-carrying
air:
Two days to a snowfall and two days
after,
Snowlight pours in like a dimmer,
better sun.
