| This model is one of those I've not been quite happy with. This is a resin model, so it came without a chromed grill and bumper. I'm more inclined to settle for silver paint than to try to use one of the chrome applications or to attempt to apply chrome from sheets. (I fear poisoning myself with the former and flubbing badly with the latter. I'll leave that to folks considerably more obsessed than I.) Consequently, the chrome is a bit dull. Everything fit togther well, as the Hendrix resin model fit perfectly with the AMT '56 Ford frame and engine. The white upper body, however, looks better in the photograph than it did in person -- usually the problem is the opposite one. The result is a reasonably attractive car, but my creation does not do justice to the beauty of the original. | |
