The Southern Appalachians

With Rob in graduate school at Western Carolina University, we found ourselves making a couple trips to the southern Appalachians. These pictures are from the Unicoi State Park area in northern Georgia and from around Cherokee, at the foot of the Great Smokies. The high-mountain waterfalls are larger than they appear and thoroughly impressive, this year's particularly wet summer rendering them more so.
